Before the football world was put on a temporary hiatus, Chelsea wonderkid Billy Gilmour was busy making a place in the Blues’ first eleven his own, with the midfielder getting his chance due to some injuries to key players.

The Scottish maestro started the Blues’ last two matches before the coronavirus pandemic brought football to a standstill, with Frank Lampard’s side earning victories over Liverpool in the FA Cup and Everton in the Premier League, with Gilmour playing a starring role.

As a reward for his fine performances, Gilmour has been given a well deserved upgrade on FIFA 20, after their latest database update was rolled out over the weekend.

The 18-year-old has been rewarded for his fine individual performances against both Liverpool and Everton by being given a significant upgrade on FIFA 20.

The youngster’s standing tackle (45-56), defensive awareness (43-50), interceptions (48-53), reactions (58-62), sliding tackle (47-51) and short passing (72-74) attributes have all been given a boost in-game.

As a result, his overall rating has also been increased from 64 to 66 overall, making him a bit more usable. His potential rating of 86 stays the same, which suggests that Gilmour can become as good as players like Hakim Ziyech, Thiago, Fabinho, Frenkie de Jong and Miralem Pjanic.
