Jermaine Jenas has amended his Premier League top four prediction amid ‘mayhem’ at the Arsenal.

After originally picking Tottenham and Arsenal to pip Chelsea and Manchester United to a Champions League place, Jenas has changed his mind after watching a ‘disastrous’ season unfold at the Emirates.

Arsenal are currently six points off the final Champions League spot, but Tottenham are even further off the pace with ten points between them and fourth place.

‘Originally I was Spurs and Arsenal [along with Liverpool and Man City],’ Jenas said.

‘But I think Arsenal’s season has been disastrous.

‘Although they’re much higher in the table than Spurs, it’s just been more mayhem at that football club.

‘And even the manager now seems to be under a lot of pressure, so I don’t think they’ll make it.

‘I’ll replace them with Chelsea, because I think what Frank’s [Lampard] got going there is solid. The players are top drawer.’

Arsenal face Leicester City on Saturday in a crucial game for their top four hopes.

The Foxes are six points ahead of Arsenal, while Chelsea have won their last five league games in a row.

Leicester have emerged as the dark horses in the top four race and Brendan Rodgers is backing his side to cause an upset this season.

‘It’s sometimes been the trend, if something happens that wakes them up, they have the facility to spend and get the level of player who can get them back up there,’ Rodgers said.

‘You have to fight, you can’t accept that that is the top six in terms of money and finance and you’re always going to sit below it.

‘We have to hopefully find a way, drop a hand grenade in there and see where it takes us.

‘We have to do it in a different way. We have resources, of course, but we don’t have the resources to get in the players that will go to these other clubs.

‘That’s the excitement of it, that’s the beauty, that’s the challenge and it was the project I was really excited about when I came here.

‘Can we break that mould? Can we not just create something but sustain it? That’s what we’re looking to do.’
