Manchester United are one of several clubs keen on signing impressive Wolves winger Adama Traore, it has been claimed.

The Spanish-born attacker has been at Wolves since 2018, having previously played for Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.

According to Le10 Sport, the Red Devils, along with rivals Manchester City and Liverpool, are keen on signing the 24-year-old. Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid are also rumoured to be interested in the Spaniard, whose current deal with Wolves expires in 2023.

He moved from Middlesbrough to Wolves for around £18 million, and has so far scored 7 goals and made 13 assists in 79 appearances for the club.

Adama Traore – The X-factor Manchester United need?

Traore has had an impressive 2019-20 season, and his standout game was against Manchester City, where he helped Wolves to a 2-0 win by scoring a brace.

That performance caught the eye of several clubs in the Premier League and Europe, as he bullied the Manchester City defence and was pretty much unstoppable.

The former Barcelona youth academy player is a quick, strong, and a fearless winger, who likes to move from the wide right area to central areas with his pace and superb dribbling ability.

The explosive winger is the kind of player that gets fans off their seats, and can make a big impact on games. Traore has averaged a whopping 5.2 dribbles per game in the 2019-20 Premier League season, running at opposition defences at every opportunity.

His decision making in the final third has improved and he often puts in good crosses and passes in the box. He also likes to drift into the middle to take shots on goal.

Traore could be a sensational signing for Manchester United and one that could be a crowd favourite. United have not had a quick and powerful winger since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, and Traore could fill the gaping hole on the right flank.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, who is the club’s No. 1 target. But, United should pursue a move for Traore as well, as they do not have too many options on the right.

Jesse Lingard has played in that position, but he may not have a future at the club, while Juan Mata doesn’t have the pace to trouble defenders on the right. Andreas Pereira also played there occasionally, but he wasn’t effective, while Mason Greenwood is better as a striker than a right-winger.
