Marcus Rashford is said to have been asked to try to lure James Maddison to Manchester United.

The Red Devils were heavily linked with a move for the Leicester City ace – and the Manchester Evening News claim United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer asked Rashford and Jesse Lingard to try to entice Maddison to Old Trafford when they were on England duty together, before Solskjaer chose to pursue Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish instead.

“Senior United sources boasted of the influence of Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard during England get-togethers prior to the £80m signing of Harry Maguire and entrusted that contingent with James Maddison following his call-up – before they settled on Jack Grealish,” say the MEN.
