‘Some going’ – Ben Foster breaks silence on Watford relegation with classy Aston Villa message
Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has congratulated Aston Villa on their survival from relegation to the Championship at his side’s expense.
The Hornets were seven points ahead of Villa with three matches left to go but with Nigel Pearson sacked after defeat to West Ham United, their form spiralled and defeat to Manchester City and Arsenal sealed their return to the top flight.
Villa, meanwhile, ended the campaign without a defeat in the final four games and conceded just two goals in that time which included a big 1-0 defeat of Arsenal.
Former West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Foster has spoken out about his shock at relegation and his side’s prospects in the Championship.

“I honestly never thought it’d happen, but the table doesn’t lie.
“Fair play to Villa, eight points from the last four games is some going.
